Scientific name: Sylvicapra grimmia

Identification: One of the tiny ten. They have black stripe from the forehead to the nose. Tuft of hair on the crown of the head. Grey/brown in color.

​Mass: 15-21 kg  /  33-46 lbs

​Shoulder height: 50cm  /  19″

​Life expectancy: 10 years

​Habitat: Prefers dense scrub covered areas. Feeds in tall grass and avoids short grass.

​Habits: Grey duiker normally walks alone, unless it is mating season. They are more active in overcast weather and night time. Like the steenbuck, they wait until the threat is almost in contact with them before they jump up and run away.
