Identification: Slender antelope with a long neck and ears. Dagger like straight horns. Only the rams carry horns.

Habitat: Rocky mountain areas, high mountain plateaus and slopes with limited shrub and tree cover. They do not rely on water. Occur at an altitude of 4500-5600 feet above sea-level.
Habits: They form herds of up to 12 animals. Differentiation can be made between lone rams, and family herds with a dominant ram. They do not form bachelor herds. When a ram leaves the family herd he walks alone until he is old enough to defend his own territory. The feed with continuously with short resting period, only resting for 3 hours during the hottest time of the day.
