Deposits: A minimum deposit of 50% of your daily rates for the entirety of your safari will confirm your booking. A hunting contract also has to be signed by both the client and Doornrivier Safaris. The balance of your daily rates must be settled upon arrival at Doornrivier Safaris. In the case that you book one of our all-inclusive packages, 40% of the package fee is payable as a deposit.

Payments: All payments are to be done in USD $. Payment for trophies hunted can be done on the last day of the safari as we know that species sometimes get added to your wish list as the safari progresses. We accept cash and electronic fund transfers (EFT). EFT is our preferred method of payment. Banking details will be provided on request.  

Wounded animals, where blood is found, will be regarded as a hunted trophy, regardless if it is retrieved or not. The full trophy fee applies in cases such as this.

Gratuities: You are more than welcome to provide your professional hunter or camp staff with a tip. It is not expected and it is always up to the clients’ discretion. We do however request that it be in cash in local currency as some of the camp staff can not cash checks and do not have access to exchange foreign currency. 

Cancellation policy: In the event a safari has to be cancelled and the client does so at least 150 days prior to the start date of the safari, 40%  of the deposit will be refunded. The remaining amount will be forfeited as administrative fees.

If the safari is cancelled less than 150 days before the start of the safari, the entire deposit will be forfeited unless the safari can be rescheduled to a different date in the same hunting season. These dates are subject to availability.

There are no refunds for late arrivals or early departures.
